DumbellsThe number of Americans that will make fitness and weight loss resolutions in the New Year is about 45% according to statistics. However, stastics show that many of these resolutions will be broken within the first few weeks of the New Year.

Here are some tips to help keep you on track:

  • Get a support system. Having a partner to workout with helps to keep you motivated.
  • Good Fitness Plan. This includes adding a variety of exercises to your fitness routine. Resistance bands, dumbbells, and stability devices are excellent inexpensive, portable, and versatile strengthening options to incorporate into your workout.
  • Hold yourself accountable. Make a schedule and try to stick to it .
  • Keep a positive attitude. Your attitude plays a big role. A positive attitude empowers, energizes, and keeps you focused and motivated.
  • Use exercise as a stress reliever. Keeping active helps to relieve stress, depression, and anxiety making you look and feel better.
  • Most Important! Be patient. It takes time to lose weight and get fit. So don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results right away. Just keep to your plan, and before long exercising will become a habit and those pounds will begin to melt away.
